An office is not necessary! Though some of our franchisees choose to operate out of a small office space, it is not required. Most consultations and tutoring services are done at our customers’ homes. Plus, Tutor Doctor’s proprietary software enables you to conduct all business management activities from the comfort of your own home.
The answer to this question is dependent on a variety of factors, such as the number of territories you have, the number of students served and the ability to follow our proven system. Tutor Doctor only allows one operating franchisee in each local territory. Your territory is defined by postal codes and usually ranges from 75,000 – 100,000 in population size.
Tutor Doctor does offer financing in special cases such as veterans and the Young Entrepreneurship Scholarship (YES) program. We also have financial partners who can help franchisees in other situations finance their investment.
Tutoring is a popular choice for part-time work by teachers and university students and Tutor Doctor has developed an effective system for recruiting these potential tutors. Just as each market has many teachers, each market has a great supply of potential tutors.
We have several highly effective lead generation programs franchisees can deploy in their local markets. We also have lead generation partners that can provide you with a steady flow of online leads that have been generated utilizing advanced internet technologies. In addition, we provide franchisees with training that includes marketing and sales.
Franchisees pay Tutor Doctor an 8% royalty on their gross sales as well as a 2% national marketing and branding fee. This is where Tutor Doctor earns its ultimate profits, so it is in the best interest of the company to maximize the success of its franchisees in order to maximize its own success.
